Here in Ireland we are used to a different sizing guide based only on age, however Scandinavian and other European brands are sizing differently. Scandinavian brands for kids tend to be on the generous side. The size labelling on children's clothes is based on kids' height rather than age. Which makes a lot more sense once you get used to it.
